This bottle was made to honor my Grandmother Francis. I called her Tutu which is Hawaiian for Grandmother. We lived in Hawaii when I was learning to speak.
Are you getting tired of seeing my bottles? I hope not because I love making them.
I love to use transferred images in my work. For this bottle I copied Tutu's picture onto crinoline fabric. It is very stiff stuff, so I cut it the size of copy paper & feed it into my printer.
I am always on the lookout for funky pieces of junk to use for toppers, this one is an old lamp finial I took apart.
For this one I used a very old carved brass doorknob. Love the way it looks on this bottle.
And here's the image transfer again. This time I applied a piece of old sheet music onto an old coin purse, then laid a tape transfer of the photo on top.
This girl on this bottle is my Great, Great Aunt Annie. These are part of a series I did called 'Family Album', I posted about the 3rd bottle here. ******************************
I got some great comments regarding the printers box I posted here. I should have told you the source of this awesome case of goodness. Junker Val is junker extraordinaire. You can find her loading goodies into her booth at Lonestar Antique Mall in Fort Worth, or link to her website. She really has some awesome things!
One more thing, I did not alter this box in any way for the photo. It was wrapped tight in plastic wrap & when Val unwrapped it this is what I saw. Dawn said it's already a wonderful assemblage, I think it will be difficult to use any of this. I think I'll just leave it out on my art table for inspiration!

Guess what.....I found my camera! I believe there is power in numbers & I had some blog prayers helping me out! Thank you to everyone who helped. And in case you ever lose anything.... I remembered our version of the prayer to Saint Anthony. It really works, you have to recite it over & over while looking for your lost item.
♥
Dear Saint Anthony please come down,
I've lost something that can't be found,
if you find it bring it to me,
oh how happy I will be.
