White Wednesday

I tried this post 2 weeks ago and blogger was being mean to me, so I deleted it. If you saw it then, I apologize. I just hate to waste a good White Wednesday!
I just can't resist pearls or rosaries, I don't pack them away. I show them off! The cross you see is a funny old ivory rosary that belonged to my Grandmother, a devote Catholic.
If diamonds are white so are rhinestones, right? I found the monogrammed pin 'sam' not long ago at an antique mall. They are my Mother in law's initials, I can't wait to turn it into something special for her.

I collect these pearl buckles.
Baby shoes are one of my absolute favorites, I'll buy them in any condition.
These were actually mine when I was little.
This is part of a pretty dress that was moth eaten. Oh well, it gave me an excuse to cut it up for various projects.
I found this old stained child's dress at a garage sale for $1, again it will go into a collage of some sort.
This sweet dress came from the same garage sale, I love the eyelet.

I am not a collector of wedding dresses, just beautiful lace, and this one was covered in it. The waist is teeny tiny, maybe a size 0. It can't even fit on my mannequin so I just have it hung over my dressing table.
Here is a close up of the bodice.
I do collect vintage undergarments, especially slips. I love how women took such care in how they dressed, from the slip to gloves and hats. I have quite a few bed clothes as well, little bed jackets are my favorite. I wear one of my hubby's t-shirts, sad I know.

That's it for this White Wednesday, be sure to check out Kathleen over at Faded Charm for the list of other participants.
