I never set out to collect angels, they kind of find their way to me. I do, however believe in them. I have a story that would convince any non-believer, it gives me chills just writing about it now. Perhaps someday I'll share it with you. Until then, here are a few that watch over me.
Thanks to Kathleen for organizing these White Wednesday parties, please go see her amazing blog at Faded Charm to see the list of other players.
Old bisque baked angels, bought in a junk store a long time ago.
The faces on these two caught my eye, anyone know what period they would have come from?
This stone angel usually lives in my flower garden. It was too dark & ugly to photograph her out there.
These gold painted bisque angels were my favorite, they live with my dear friend in Denmrark now.
And her amazing angel lives here, with me.
This one was a gift, and.....
this one is in the shop.

Sorry to cut this short today but I discovered, quite by accident that all of the emails bloggers send me have been going into my spam account!?@#! Guess what I'll be doing all day? Apologizing to my friends who've taken time to email & must think I'm a snob or something. Also trying to get 3 more pairs of slippers into my etsy shop by 5pm. Thanks for the interest!
Have a great 'hump day'!

Love the angel collection, and you asked about the two small angel faces... Now its hard to say from just a picture (dont know what they are made of), but it looks like Baroque style... but thats 1600 - 1760, and the style was also used through out different periods there after (imitations, reproductions).
The best way to find out is to have them checked out by a good antique specialist. Hope that helps, they are really cute.
beautiful post... and the slippers are darling.
hugs,
shelley
