Sunday, Beautiful Sunday

Well, I've got another class under my belt.
What a great time we had Sunday.
It was a small group, just friends who've taken my classes before.
They had a special request & I couldn't say no!
 So 1st things first....kits.
With the holidays around the corner I wanted to make something the girls could use in their holiday decor.
I embellished some matchboxes with my favorite Christmas image.
My friend Michelle makes the coolest ones! I was inspired by hers.
We spent the day creating beautiful altered bottles.
Tonda, Linda, Charlene, Charlotte, Lori & Jan did a wonderful job.
In fact, they really didn't need my help.
All done up in 'low color' as Beth calls it.
I really look forward to these little classes.
We just gab & laugh.
Share stories of our latest vintage conquests... you know.
The day just flies by.
And at the end, there were 6 totally amazing altered bottles.
Art bottle roll call
Lori, Tonda, Linda, Charlene, Jan, & Charlotte.
Pretty impressive, huh?
Maureen does a great job of hosting these workshops
& on Sunday Cottage Panache was fluffed to perfection in holiday goodness!
I wish these pictures were better.
 Her tree was just gorgeous.
Loaded with the unique ornaments, both new, old & handmade.

See anything you like??
I've had my eye on this Santos for a couple of weeks.
Love this!
Some great bedroom inspiration, something I really need right now.
Cottage Panache is open Monday~Thursday & Saturday.
7277 Glenview Dr., Richland Hills, Tx. 76180
I want to share some give-away news before I go.
My precious friend Dawn is celebrating 1500 posts!
Can you even imagine?
I told her it should be us gifting her for blessing us day after day, year after year, with so much beauty, friendship & inspiration.
Go check out this post & enter to win!

The amazingly talented & fun Lesley Venable is having a give-away to kick start her new online store.
She's got some very cool vintage items as well as some one of a kind Christmas decor.  Handmade by Lesley of course.

Oh I would have given ANYTHING to have been there! I hope someday I can come and have you teach me those fabulous bottles!! (I can't to get mine in the mail)
I can see why you have your eye on the Santos. I love them to but they are sooooo expensive! Of course, now that you are teacher extraordinaire you can afford all those goodies!!!
I won't be around for Thanksgiving or even near a computer with internet, but I wanted to be sure and come over and tell you that I am so thankful to call you my friend and very grateful to have you in my life ( even if it is only through the computer so far.) Have ahappy Thanksgiving my friend!

I have just discovered your blog from Katie's Rose Cottage & I am in LOVE!! I wish I could take one of your classes - you have an amazing artistic ability & I would love to learn from you! Would you ever consider selling a "kit" with instructions to something like the Altered Bottle workshop??? SOOOOOO inspiring! I am going to put you up on my blog in the morning so my tiny following can see your work too!

Oh Lisa, sorry I missed your bottle class. And after seeing the photos & hearing about it from Jan (she said it was an amazing class!), I'm really really sorry I wasn't able to come! But I didn't hear about it until last minute (I've been keeping my eye on Maureen's workshop blog but never saw it mentioned ????), anyway, I was out of town & couldn't come. :( Please let me know if you have another class...would love to be able to make one of these...they're incredible!

Dear Lisa... that book you stopped by to tell me about sounds very familiar and I'm almost certain I've not only read it, but have it somewhere in my vast decorating book library! *wink* I really need to hire a Librarian to categorize and organize all my books so that I can have them in order for easier reference! *smiles* I am a decorating book fiend... my collection rivals that of any local bookstore so my Friends usually drop by when they want a dose of inspiration... if I don't have it then it probably hasn't been published yet! *LOL*

Most Devine Lisa,
It was a pleasure having you at Cottage Panache once again, with one of your fabulous workshops. Each and every one has been over the top SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL! I do hope that all of the recent RIFF does not deter you from instructing again and again! That would be a crime indeed! I believe that everything happens for a reason and that you are evolving along with every talented person in blogland. Most artist would just take it as a compliment, having been remembered and then to be furthe embellised and altered to their own taste and style.
My Christmas Open House and Year Treasure Clearance will be December 11th and 12th. Hope you can come by. Can't wait to see what you do with the white lanterns!
Big Hugs :) Maureen

Hope you are not hurt too much by this kerfluffle. If the person really did consult a lawyer, they would have counseled her not to say anything, to anybody. period. I laugh when people invoke Christianity and then act in an unchristian manner. And then try to get sympathy about a sick husband? Who did all the tech work on their videos? Stay strong.
