Laughing all the way....

Ha, ha, ha!!!
Why can't there be 60 days in December?
Then I'd have a month to decorate, shop, make & all the other holiday hoop a la.
And then a month to sit back & enjoy it all.
(these little elves would object to that idea)!

Every year at this time I say 'last call', clean off the art table, hide the visa & turn on 'It's a Wonderful Life'.
What didn't get done will have to wait till next year.

Here are a few projects I managed to complete.
White Christmas by Tricia Foley is one of my favorite holiday decorating books.
I've always wanted to make stockings like the one on the cover,
this year I did!

I transferred some beautiful sheet music for this one. It holds a gift card for a special someone!

I used a family photo & St. Joseph medal for this one.
A cuff off an old sweater.
 Simple & elegant!

Then I made a pillow inspired by my sweet friend Ann.

And finally, a gift for you.
I love this Christmas image, I've used it in countless projects.
I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you friends for giving me the greatest gift of all,
the gift of friendship.
I wish you all the Merriest Holiday,
filled with family, food & frolic.
Lots of frolic!

Oooh Lisa, everything is so beautiful. I love that banner so much. And the stockings...just gorgeous. These will be family heirlooms someday, you know! The pillow is lovely, as is everything you create. I am trying to tap into the inspiration I get from you this month and make some altered artwork. I hope you don't laugh when I finally get the nerve to share it on my blog.hehe One thing is for sure, I am no Lisa!!! But I want you to know how grateful I am for the encouragement and inspiration that I get from you and Dawn, and Ann, and Dorthe, and others, to try new things. I have always thought of myself as only a painter, a sewer, a gardener, a woman who takes pictures, but never as an artist.

Wishing you and those sweet little elves and Mr. Clause a Merry Christmas!
love to you...

Hey Lisa Girl
I agree with you, didn't get half of what I wanted to done and didn't get to play hardly at all. Now I am back from Mn and it is a blur. Christmas is over and it passed way to quickly. But I am taking this week to savor it and think about all that I have been blessed with.
I love your stockings, they are beautiful and I think I will just keep making Christmas now... all the things I didn't make, why not in January... what else do I have to do.
Wishing you and your family much love and blessings this coming New Year
Thank you for your friendship this past year, I appreciate you
Rebecca

Lisa, your projects are beautiful! I totally agree that December should be longer. I didn't manage it all and had to drop things by the wayside. I never give myself enough time to do it all, then I don't have time to enjoy it either. So we can start fresh and have a great New Year!
Hugs,
Sherry

Happy New Year, Lisa...I found your site through Art Affirmations.

Oh, I think 60 days for December is a wonderful idea! Where do I sign the petition?

Your remodeling is wonderful. The bedroom and bathroom are lovely...I bet you just sink into your bed at night and take a long, peaceful sigh.
Your furniture and decor are very inviting.

I must say, I thought the added touch of pirate hat stickers really put it over the top. LOL

Enjoy the new year in your 'new' home...
