My Paper Cowgirl Post

Another amazing Paper Cowgirl weekend has come & gone.
Once again Cindy outdid herself.
Paper Cowgirls are the coolest...
& classiest girls around!
Also they are uber talented!
Ann-Denise sculpted this amazing gown from over 400 coffee filters!
Pretty cool, huh?
My class went off without a hitch.
I had expert help setting up,
Beth 'hooshed' my table,
& Karla doodled it up.
I think everyone liked their kits.
They started like this.

Don't they look neat all together?
Then after a little wax & fire...
Each box represented techniques I taught in the class.
We managed to burn wax & fibers without setting off the smoke alarms.
(I promise we were not in the classroom Cindy!)
Everyone made the most amazing projects!
See what I mean?

My sweet friend Lisa made this little book for me,
All the girls signed it for me, it's a beautiful keepsake from my weekend.
Thank you so much to everyone who took my class I hope you learned something you can apply to your work.
I always come away from Waxahachie with a big haul, this year was no different.
Zinc engravings from Neat Stuff in McKinney.
Lovely trims from Debbie & Beth.
 Alabaster birds & lovely lace.

I bought about 10 of these scrapbook pages.
The pictures are so playful & the captions in white ink are wonderful!

Sweet Jamie was at vendor night again, & the line was 3 deep!
It was like a clearance sale at Magnolia Pearl!

Had to show these again because they are so killer!

Debbie & Cat has 100s of these slides, I can't wait to create something cool with them.
Well that's it for now.
I'm back to full time  Mother-hood so I'm sweating at the pool,
making Mario Bros costumes & cooking up a storm.
Stay cool & have fun this weekend!

Hey Lisa! I already saw your mugshot over at Beth's place. :) I have no doubt you girls had a fantastic time. Those upcycled cigar boxes are fantastic and what a great way to take away all the other projects that were made. I can't imagine what went into creating that dress from coffee filters. Amazing! Back to reality! have a great weekend. Tammy

These pictures show such beauty, I've been rendered speechless! The kits you created for each of your participants, as well as their beautiful vintage creations, are so inspiring!

Ironically, I just found a scrapbook containing pages like the ones you purchased, which belonged to one of my grandmothers. She also notated on the pages with a white pen decades ago...what a treasure!

Dear Lisa, I am so happy for you that you had such a wonderful time at Paper Cowgirls. With the collages and kits you so keenly inspired so many happy women. They look gorgeous - not to mention all the goodies that you returned home with.
Every girl into mixed media needs these for inspiration and food to feed the soul!
Thank you also for your very kind comment on my Rose Journal.
Have a wonderful week with your little treasures.

I'm telling you...it should be illegal to have so much fun! ;-) I am always so jealous that I don't live south of the Mason Dixon line so I can come visit frequently and join in on these classes!

I am just laughing over the man in the window when you were taking those "leggy" photos! LOL! He looks like he's enjoying you gals as much as you were enjoying yourselves!
LOL!

Hugs and fun to you this week!
