My White Wednesday for this week is focused on my favorite source of Christmas inspiration White Christmas, Tricia Foley. I realize we haven't even put the Halloween decorations away yet, but I'm getting a jump start on my Holiday decorating this year. So here are some images that having me digging through my stash for supplies today.
I love stockings! They look great everywhere, so you can have as many as you like. This year I am loving Whites!
Another favorite is Vintage Christmas Crafts, by Sara Toliver. The pictures below are from her book.
Not a great picture because I scanned from the book, but this is the greatest nubby fabric with the white work on top - Love it!
Okay, these are not white, but I am going to make them in white. I want to transfer old family photos onto muslin and use as a cuff on a stocking made from a bleached out old quilt. I think it would be cute.
So here are some pics of my stash. Good stuff I've been hording for awhile, like this amazing cashmere sweater I found at a thrift store years ago. It has some imperfections so I don't feel bad about re- purposing it.
We are planning our Christmas Open House at Collected Treasures and I plan on making a big collection of wonderful stockings.
I have stashes of trims from old pillowcases.
This one has a faint blue in it. Pretty.
These cones, buttons, candles, seedling starting pots will also become something special.
This little child's bed jacket would be perfect made into something, not sure what yet. I have lots of sweet booties and little gloves that can become amazing ornaments.
And I HAVE to get my amaryllis planted or they will not bloom over Christmas. Paper whites too. Scads of them. I love to have big containers of them, and a couple of paper whites in an old vintage china cup is a wonderful gift.

That's all for this weeks White Wednesday. As always I need to thank my host Kathleen from Faded Charm for working so hard on this great party. Check out her wonderful blog to see post and the other great White Wednesday bloggers.
