Catching up

I have been very busy crafting this week. I finished some new altered ballet slippers & got them in my etsy shop.....

then I added a birdy gift bag trio.  These are from my tutorial, if you don't feel like making them, you can buy them here.

Then I made some candles.

When I re-organized my studio last month I made a vow to use up the supplies & things that I've had stored forever.  I thought saucer-less cups would make good candles.
Look what the mail man delivered today, isn't this the coolest?  I bought it from Linda at Itsy Bits & Pieces, she has the best etsy store ever...tons of stuff!
Look at what she did with hers!
And speaking of clever bloggers...
Look what I won!!!! I have been reading blogs for 4 years now & finally my ship has come in.  This sweet birdy is from the one & only Karla Nathan. I have been a Karla's Cottage follower since September 2007, I know this because I saved her to my favorites list on that day.  So when I pull her site up I see that same post every time! Besides being an amazing artist & Grandmother, she is one of the nicest bloggers I know.

If you haven't already heard, Michele from Something Special is giving away this wonderful bundle of vintage goodness.  I just discoverd her cute blog.
And Donna at Brynwood Needleworks is having a Valentine giveaway.  If you want a chance to win one of her beautiful creations, it's not too late.
One last thing, I just want to say congrats to my fairy blog-mother Dawn.  Her studio is going to be featured in the next issue of Where Women Create.  I can't wait to see where all of that amazing art comes from.

I know this is a dumb question, but do you mind telling how you made the candles, what type of wax...etc...I would love to do that with my STACK of cups....
