Yipee! My SWEET Gig!

I've had such a hard time keeping this to myself.
I've been invited to participate in this year's Paper Cowgirl Art Retreat!  Yahoo!!
Teaching a workshop has been a big goal & I'm so proud to be a part of this event. Cindy really knows how to do it up big, Texas style.  This is my first year as a Cowgirl & it's going the be the biggest & best retreat yet.  12 classes, 12 amazing instructors (tootin my own horn), vendor night & a meet & greet.
I will be teaching mixed media tags & techniques.
(Do these look familiar?)
I will show how to transfer images onto tape, fabric, contact paper & more, have fun with resin & even play with fire! Then we'll take those techniques & create 3 very unique & personal hanging tags.  I believe crafter's of all skill sets will leave with the ability to apply these methods to their altered art.
Here's a list of my fellow Cowgirls & their classes,
Chantel Johnson - Inspirational Tag Book
Joanna Lewis - Feathered Friend Collage
Jennifer Stewat - 4th of July Banner
Deb Taylor - Covered Journal
Jennifer Babcock - Altered Bird Trinket Box
MendyMitrani  (former PC teacher) - Digi Class
Dale Mclain (former PC teacher) - Sea Inspired Shadow Box
Ann-Denise Anderson (former PC Teacher) Victorian Boots
Angela Berger - Shabby Classy Necklace
Laverne - "pocket" book
Cindy Gilstrap - La Petite Boutique Altered Canvas

Corrine Clark - French Paper Shoe
Sandra Feazel (former PC Teacher) - Beeswax/Painted Canvas
*******************************
I'll be posting a lot more in the next few weeks including photos of these classes.  All of the information you need, including registration, & lodging can be found on the Paper Cowgirl blog, linked all over this post.  If your anywhere near Texas in June you should join us, it's gonna be a blast!

Another awesome thing happened last week.....a dream really .....all I can say is you can read it in July..:)?!

lisa, i've been working on my good friend, anne (lorys) about going to p.c. with me this year and when the class list came out she got one and was very pleased to see you were teaching a class - said she knows you:)
i'm not teaching this year and i'm very glad about that because i've missed classes the last two years because they were held opposite of mine....this year when i was looking through the list of classes your class was the ONE I am determined to take and i won't have to worry about you teaching opposite of me - yea!
i make tags and cards but it's always fun to learn new techniques.

i look forward to meeting you in june.
warmly, jan
