20 Days!

Okay, I have a reoccurring dream. It begins with my class this month at Paper Cowgirls. I walk into the room, which is filled with anxious artists, waiting to be taught some cool projects. The only problem is.... I have nothing.

NOTHING!

This dream is worse than the one you had as a kid, the one where you show up for school naked.

This nightmare takes place in someones store, I don't remember whose. As a stall tactic, I give the students paper & a pencil & tell them to sketch something. In the meantime, I'm frantically running through the shop trying to find things that will work for our class. I look over my shoulder to see the disgruntled looks on their faces....

I get back to digging through boxes, looking for a piece of lace, anything!

I wake up in a cold sweat & realize it's time to get my act, crap, ideas, 'IT' together.

My kits are done, & they are pretty cool, if I do say so myself. So my focus is working on swaps & vendor night. I went through my sweet stash & started assembling piles for collages.

A perfect mix of pretty & dirty.

Just like a cowgirl.

Wait till you see what I do with the bullet casings,

& the pretty whites....

& some resin bobbles.

Oh, I finally ordered the Ice Resin, the result is awesome. I do love the amber ghost like effect you get with the regular 2 part resin, but this stuff is crystal clear! See if you can tell the difference. The 2 blond girls were done with the Ice Resin, the others with my old stand-by.

I will defiantly be demonstrating this in class.

If you don't hear a lot from me in the next month, now you know why. I'm trying to make sure my nightmare doesn't become reality.

Between Paper Cowgirls & no Mothers Day Out, I'm in a big mess.
At least I have live-in help.

My Agapanthus are blooming at last!

When they are finished in the garden.....

For dinner they are preparing a nice pasta primavera.

Oh, don't go calling social services!
I'm good to 'em.
If they do a really good job, I let them split a Popsicle 3 ways.

Me thinks that if you reward with 3 individual popsicles, your naked nightmares will stop. Kinda like that spider you smash that comes back the size of King Kong to shake one of its "fingers" at ya! Just one question. Were the students naked since you weren't? It's all gonna be good. Can't wait to see what you have available at vendor's night. Might have to purchase some lace from you beforehand, if you sell, ya dirty cowgirl. ~ Angela

You have NO reason to worry! You are beyond talented and prepared to teach. Everything you do turns out incredible. :-)

My dream is that I walk into your class and I'm the only one who doesn't have any real crafting experience. Except my dream is the actual reality of how it's gonna be!
I may need a pep-talk to keep me from backin' out!

XO,
Anne

Oh, Lisa, those are children that are going to grow up with the right values. Good job, girl! I'll be wishing you luck that you get your act all together so there are no "naked" moments and frantic shopping trips!
Cute post! Loved it!

Your children are so gosh darned cute! By the way, actors have that kind of dream all the time. I still have it - guess its cause I'm still in the theater - where its time to go on stage and for some reason you've never learned your lines. Usually, you are backstage trying to cram them in your brain in the little time you have before you enter. Oh, many is the time I've woken up in a cold sweat after one of those dreams!

If your little ones are anything like mine, cleaning up the popsicle mess is going to take almost as long as cleaning up after all of their "help".

Your babies are adorable and you better start rewarding them with more then a couple drops of popcicle... my poor daughter, I give Jesse cookies for breakfast!
I ordered the soap throught the website you provided.

I'm sure you've got it all together even if all the bits and pieces aren't in place at the moment. There's no way you could not have something fabulous to share. There is a definite difference in the ice resin. Your kids look like their days are filled with fun and lots of outdoor activities. My kids are always stuck inside -- so hot here. But we will be in the States by the end of the month. My how time flies. Best wishes, Tammy

Dear Lisa,
I love your creations, especially the bullet casings are fascinating to me. Your children are beautiful. Your home reminds me of my home. Full of adventures, messes and fun with triplets. Isn't our life blessed beyond compare? Thank you for stopping by and saying "hi". Enjoy the rest of the weekend. If you are ever on the East Coast, stop by!

such a darling post, so funny...Ohhh, I loved looking at the pictures of your Agapanthus. One of my favorite plants. I use to have them lining front walkway in SoCal...but here in PA you never see them. They can't survive our harsh winters!...Use to love Society Garlic too, have you tried that one? Puts out flowers just like the Agapanthus and they are edible.
