A little bit of this, a little bit of that

This post could also be titled,
'What I do when I should be doing something else.'

I have a to do list this month that is mind numbing, so what do I do?
Decide to swap 3 rooms out, beginning with my studio. My former studio space is now a library.
(note the small child in the right corner dodging moving furniture)
Still some filling in to do, but you get the idea.

A little fluffing.

Even a little sewing. I've been so inspired by Sissie's runners that I made one for myself.  I trimmed it up with a piece of my vintage velevet ribbon, & even added a pretty pin. I love the fanciness of the ribbon & jewel against the rough burlap.
I can't show you the studio of course, you have to wait for Karen's party on the 19th!

My remodeling project suddenly took a backseat to the packages left at the door... return address Ann at The Tin Rabbit!!!

I love this girl so much, I mean her art just does it for me. I have been know to spend hours just looking at her flickr page.

This hanging pocket brought tears to my eyes.
She said she 'knew I was suppose to have it'.

The photo is 3 precious friends. The rosette in the corner looks like it was made from a sock?~ The texture is different from fabric I've seen.

3 wonderful pieces!  That was more than I ever expected, but remember.
There were 2 boxes!
2 giant ledgers.

I collect quilted glove boxes, I especially love the ones that are loaded down with lace, white buttons & other goodies! LOL

Further examination.

A sisterhood collage??
Lots of treasures to incorporate into my art.

LOVE IT!
Ann is such a generous, sweet soul. She has helped me so much, sharing her techniques & tips. I love it all dear friend!  The best gift of all, was hearing that you have a good report from your tests!

Well, now that I've rearranged the house, hung Ann's art & fawned over my new pretties, I guess I'll get back to my 'to do' list. Maybe my nightmares will stop! Are you all getting ready for Where Bloggers Create?  I can't wait to see your rooms!

Thanks for the creative idea. I love your blog, see you on the 19th! Heartful Hugs, Marilou

Lisa, perhaps you could share the magic wand once in a while? You truly are a magician in the amount of tasks and creative moments you succeed at accomplishing beautifully! And the gifts you have received are gorgeous and so fitting for your style! Amazing ledger too - just can't seem to find those around here. Now, how to slow down a whirling cowgirl? Dunno. ~ Angela

OMG Lisa, I looked back at your photo. I went to school (junior high and high school) with a guy named Don Schumacher. I had the biggest crush on him. He was dreamy! I can't believe one of those calling cards has his name on it!

EEK!!!! I love your library, and the burlap is yummy!! I love Sissie's creations and you have nailed it. Now how could you ever decide to rip three rooms apart with everything else you have happening? You must be so full of energy.

Gosh, all the gorgeous goodies you got from Ann are amazing and her beautiful pocket is totally gorgeous, you are a lucky girl but so deserving of all these wonderful treasures. Can hardly wait to see your studio, I know it will be amazing, just like you. I was going to pass on Karen's party, didn't think I would have time, but I decided last week that I just couldn't pass it up. I need new floors, I don't think I can get the floor man in here before the party starts, so I will have to try and avoid that part of the room at all costs..LOL...

The collage pocket is beyond awesome and I see why she said it belonged to you - it does!

I almost cried when I read the comment about Karen's party - I have and still am sick as a dog and my new studio still looks just like it looked when we switched it out weeks ago. I have been too sick to work on it. I need to have Karen remove me from her party guest list. At least I have yours to look forward to seeing!

Thanks for being a bright spot in my day!
