9 Days!

I was going to call this post White Rabbit, then remembered it is a 60's song about drugs!
Oops.
Tragedy averted.
My white rabbit has nothing to do with drugs, although her art puts me in a dreamlike state!

She's really the Tin Rabbit aka Ann Perry.
She makes the most AMAZING pillows, pockets & other various works of art! Her work is featured in the current issue of Somerset Life.

I'm lucky enough to have a few of Ann's wonderful creations in my home.
Ann's son Lance is a very talented artist in his own right.
His awesome art dolls are published in the current issue of Prims.

(photo borrowed from Tin Rabbit)
You can read more about Lance & his art on Crescent Hill Designs.

The apple didn't fall far from the tree!
I'm so excited because in 9 days Dawn & I will be in Nacogdoches
for the Tin Rabbit Sale!

Finally face to face, not phone to phone!
Don't you love it when real life & blog land intersect?

My little Indian Princess & Daddy made it home from their camp- out.  I've never seen a dirtier child!
I made her strip down at the back door & carried her straight to the shower.
A dirty child is the sign of a good time!
I had to show you the pumpkin they carved on the trip, pretty cool huh?

I am so jealous! But excited for you and Dawn. I think Ann's work is so wonderful and am a fan myself. Have a wonderful time and take lots of photos.

Your Indian Princess and her Dad look like they had a perfect time together.

Yes, I know it's about drugs, but I love White Rabbit

When you said "my white rabbit has nothing to do with drugs"- I thought you were going to say "the rabbit died"- remember that old way of saying you were pregnant?

That Lili is so pretty- she's going to be a classic beauty- even if she's covered in dirt.

Oh, I wish I could be there!
Hmmm, I wonder if I'm off work?

Your lil' princess looks so happy!

The kids better not love her more than they love me. Well, at least don't let me find out that they do...my heart will break!!!!
Plus... Make it clear to Kevin that nobody loves him ad much as I do!!!!!
Am I covering all of my territory here?
Oh. I forgot about YOU! ...
You and Dawn have lots of fun (but not too much fun without me) and think of me 24/7. Or at least tell me you did....

I love Ann. She is so talented. I didn't know about her son being an artist. His art dolls are wonderful! My keyboard is wet and slippery right now from viewing all of Ann's creations here. WOW, can she make beauty.

Will you give Dawn a hug for me? I love that girl. And then I want her to give YOU a hug for me, because just love you too.
And I want to thank you for lifting me with your words today that you left at my place. Thank you so much friend.
Love to you...

Lisa, back in the day, the old timers used to tell us that we had to eat a peck of dirt before we die.
Isn't it great! Dirty kids, you're right, looks like they had just the BEST time!

So I am catching up on your blog and am just goig to respond to these first few posts right chere (did I say that riiight?). LOL trying to talk in my best Texas accent 'cuz I was born with it. :)

Okay, so I was sooooo intimidated to meet you and Cindy and the AMAZING CAN DO EVERYTHING Ann Denise that I felt like a total dud. I was telling Tom all the way over there how talented you all were and what if I didn't fit it, etc. etc. You are all so amazing and I can't wait to be in the midst of ya'll again.

Do you know that because of you I am now on the hunt for dried sunflower heads? LOL how cool is that thing!!!! But guess what..found them...where you might ask...Etsy of course! :)

Okay, not after a duck but do like that rat. :)

Nacogdoches!!! The Tin Rabbit is in Nacogdoches?!?!? You are kidding me...do you know how many times I have been there and NEVER knew that??? Do you hear the sound of me kicking myself??? LOL Another reason to come back soon for a visit. :)

Please give Dawn a hug for me and tell her I can't wait to meet her too.

xo,
Lesley

Ohh Lisa I'm just catching up with your blog and commenting, I'm so very excited for you that you go to Ann's Open House today and there is not more I could wish for right now than joining you! Since I'm the lucky owner of some of Ann's amazingly beautiful creations after a private friendship swap we did last January, I so know how gorgeous her art is in reality and I'm sure she is just as wonderful in reality too. Yes I can't hide being jealous today but that didn't mean that I don't wish you an incredible great time, I certainly do and I hope you'll take lot's of pretty pictures from Ann and her magical home to share with us once you're back!
Enjoy! I'll be thinking @ you girls all day!
Warmest wishes from overseas!
