And the winner is............

I'm sorry I'm 3 days late posting my give-away winner.  I've been very much under the weather, my stomach has been giving me fits.
I have a big fear of doctors so I'm self medicating & spending a lot of time google-ing symptoms.
Thanks to Prilosec OTC I'm better & managed to finish my little nature journal.

The winner is Marie from Lost Bird Studio!
I hope you like it Marie.
Thank you to everyone for entering & for leaving such sweet comments.

Spending time camping last month & being in nature was heaven.

I dyed linen & laces the coolest shade of blue/green, similar to the moss covered rocks I saw.

Like Tina, I'm using more color in my work.
 It must be spirng fever!

6 pages in all.

Lots of fabric & fiber, layered & burned.

A little resin charm made with a pressed wildflower.

I like to tuck things into pockets.
I got a little carried away, I just kept adding elements.

Bookpages & barkcloth.

The bluebird carries the sky on his back ~ Henry David Thoreau

Side view.

Here's the spine all wrapped up.

Thank you DJ, Lk, & Traci for endless inspiration!

Hi Lisa!
Sorry you haven't been feeling well, but I'm sure Dr. Lisa will find the cure! LOL! My son does the same thing. He would rather self diagnose than go to a doctor. I think that he'd could be one.

On another note, you have created the most scrumptous and beautiful piece of art. I'm in love with the colors and the elements you've used. Maybe some day, when I grow up, I can be as good as you!!!

hugs,
Sissie

Beautiful, Lisa! Love the touches of blue - a change for you!

Feel better, my friend. I, too, have a fear of doctors, so I totally understand the self-medicating thing.

Take care of yourself.

LOVE IT- I love how you layer paper, fabric, lace, words, photo mats and everything else to tell a story. And I love the chunkiness of it. I can see DJ, LK and Traci influence, but you definetly have a style all your own.

Congratulations to Marie!!! I'm very happy for her. She is such a sweetheart and deserves your gorgeous journal very well.
I love each of your pages, Lisa. What kind of colors did you use to dye the fabrics and laces? The grayish blue is a fantastic shade. I also plan to use a little bit more color.
Hopefully you'll be fully recovered soon from your stomach problems, sweetie!
Big hugs,
Julia

Congratulations to the winner and I love the new book! Love the color you chose also. I think I am planning on Feb, I emailed DJ to see if she is giving workshops when I was going to be out there in June but no... she will be in Italy, only wish I could go to that one...talk about hitting two birds with one stone. Italy is on my next country to visit.
Anyway, blessings to you today and I hope you feel better.

Dear Lisa
Your little journal is beyond beautiful. I know how much thought has gone into it
believe me but the pleasure derived from the creation is soul fulfilling!
The laces, ribbons, images and colours are like brothers and sisters to each other all melding into a most beautiful artpiece.
Marie is truely over the moon having received your precious gift.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my blog.

Lisa,
What an incredible post. Your journal is just exceptional. I love your dyed colors. So soft and subtle.
I hate doctors so much but I hope you won't self-medicate if this continues. I just shudder when I think that my healthy husband's stomach ache was cancer. I am not meaning to scare you, I know you are probably going to be fine. I am still in shock, I guess. He just wasn't that sick. Marie is lucky. She is also a really nice person and I am glad that she won!
Hugs,
Suz

Hi,
I'm a new follower and wanted to say that I LOVE your nature book. I'm a scrapbooker and sew for my etsy shop, but have never ventured into the art books - maybe I will give it a try - yours inspired me. I also purchased and downloaded the beautiful blog book, and am going to start reading right after I post this. I've only been blogging a couple of moths. Hope your tummy is better!
