I had some fun today creating in my nice, clean studio. I made a couple of Valentine treats for my etsy shop.
I am following the lead of Cheryl Zany Mayd & others by donating a % of my sales until February 14 to the Red Cross for relief to Haiti.
These little hanging hearts measure 10x7". They are made with red & white ticking, wool felt, and embellished with vintage lace, quilting, buttons & cards. I really put a lot of work into making them very special & unique.
I'm working on more stuff everyday, hopefully getting my little shop stocked for Valentines Day.

Now back to the 'big' reveal!
One of my Ikea purcheses, this rolling table has big wide drawers that hold scrapbook paper, sheet music & lots more.
The woven bag is one I made to honor my Mother, I used her image & bible. My Mother was the great at everything, painting, sewing, cooking. My creative juice comes from her.
Storage, tools & collections.
Albums used for altered art.
You may have noticed, I have a thing for boxes. Especially satin ones. The old stationary box holds the love letters I posted about here
I am crazy about the little ' lambie pie' case on this shelf, it holds gobs vintage Dresden die cuts. I just adore anything with images of children circa 1940/50. When I was a child I discovered Joan Walsh Anglund & fell in love with her sweet message & the wonderful illustrations in her books. Since that time I started collecting all kinds of images.
Until next time....have a great day!

I enjoyed seeing your hearts and knowing what they are going for.
The studio looks wonderful. I got to the end and I had to smile. I have that exact same suitcase with the lambie on it. It was mine when I was growing up in the early 1970s. The best thing is that my mom had one with the same image from when she was growing up in the 1940s. The differences are the box is pink on mine and blue on hers. Mine has a plastic handle and, if I remember right, hers is leather.
Wonderful creations and such a great cause you are supporting!!!
I am in love with your studio...every little accessory is soooo darling. I love all of the boxes...perfect treasures!!!

Hello, I just came over from Ticking and Toile; the name of your blog caught my eye.
Where do I start? Your blog is exquisite. Just like stepping into a quaint little shop and not knowing where to start looking.
I love the types of projects you have featured and have so enjoyed looking around. I'm signing up as a follower right now.
Hope you have a wonderful day!!
OOH, I love the hearts you made, and the cause they are going toward. Your studio shots make me want to get up and fix up my disaster studio area!
Love your blog--Sherry
Oh my I wish I had a place like this to create!! I love all your pretty storage boxes you use. The small trunk brought a smile to my face as I have one just like it that my husband's grandfather made for us right after we were married. Has gold fabric too!

I got your comment on my blog, thanks for stopping by. How adorable that your little girl has an American Girl doll at age 4. That will give her even more time to enjoy her. That is so neat you are close to AG. That will be a lasting memory for you to share with your sweet girl.
My daughter is 11 and still enjoys her AG dolls very much. It's so nice there are dolls like these and stories to go along with them.
Thanks again for stopping by, please visit again :)

Thanks for taking us on a tour in your studio and letting us peek into your shelfs and drawers! You have such wonderful collections! I love your oval frames and I also have a thing for suitcases. The vintage boots are awesome and the albums in that same shelf are gorgeous too! Enjoy creating in your "new" studio!

I have just drooled all over my keyboard over your wonderful room and treasures supplies!!
Where on earth do you get all those old little coin purses???
I have been looking forever for some for my nests.
Love the old shoes, and oh so jealous of how tidy everything is.
I do hope it will stay that way longer than if it was at my place. I am such a messy crafter.
