Blooms & Rooms

I spend a lot of time doing laundry, usually about 20 loads a week.
Really.
Since I spend so much time in there I decided to try to make it a little cuter.
This raggity old coffee sack was part of my Round Top haul last year.
I totally stole borrowed this whisk broom idea from an old magazine.  I don't remember which one, do you?

One of five Ikea cabinets I own, you'll see a couple more at Karen's party next week.  This room is so narrow that it was impossible to photo the entire piece.
I love it so much, it's huge, holds a ton of stuff & looks like a built-in.

A little shelf over my sink.

My window sill.

A primitive hanger from one of my many collections.
When I rearranged my house last week I moved this old enamel topped cabinet to the garden.

I found this very tarnished silver trophy bowl at the thrift store.
I love this variety of Coleus, it grows so fast & can take our Texas heat!
I found this big silver piece at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago, it's actually a wine cooler from Louisiana Downs.
Remember my cool bird nest with the book in it? I blogged about it here.  I finally bought a cloche at Hobby Lobby this week with my 40% off coupon.
I hope your all having a great week, I'm still working on Paper Cowgirls, WBC & some other special projects.  I'm so spending July in bed!

20 loads, OMG! You don't let your kids do that, lol? You for sure should be surrouded by prettiness when you spend so much time in the laundry room! I especially love the jars on your shelf and the jug with the silhouette.
Great cloche and the bird nest with the book looks so pretty decorated underneath! I wish we would have Hobby Lobby over here as well as 40 % off coupons...
Have a great weekend, sweet Lisa and I hope you'll be able to relax a little bit in July.
Lots of hugs,
Julia

Lisa, your laundry room might just trick me into thinking laundry was a fun task! At least the setting is beautiful. You have done such a lovely job decorating. Oh, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing the "brooms as art" idea in a past issue of "Romantic Sweepers". Yeh. That's it. A clever idea, nonetheless! And well done in your room redo!! ~ Angela

Hi Lisa, Twenty (20) loads of laundry. WOW!!! I live in the country and I would have to have the waterman park his truck outside my back gate..LOL...I love the look of your laundry room space and good for you to make it just the way you want it. Where are the kiddies? Surely they must be in training for the laundry room...hehehe...

Love what you have happening outside and the bird nest and cloche is awesome.

Twenty loads a week!? Oh my gosh, I think I'd be putting a bed in there.

I love your laundry vignettes- especially those little sprinkler nozzles- I remember my mom ironing with one of those on a glass 7-Up bottle.

I pull yours up every now and then, started reading through yours, and found sooooo many new blogs to browse this weekend - will I get any jewelry made at all?
