Winter Cottage

I can't stop buying wool.

When I see a wonderful sweater or a blanket,

 I can't help myself!
Yesterday when I was checking out at my thrift store the cashier said to me,
'lady, what do you do with all these sweaters?'
I told him I make things.

I'm calling this my 'Winter Cottage'.

I'm not sure about the roof, so I changed it.

I like the addition of metal.

Even though Christmas is over I  wanted to show you how sweet it is with the bottle brush trees.

I'm thinking this may become a class.

I love using the felted wool for patchwork, I used some scraps to make this art pillow.

This is Tutu, my Grandmother.  She was so beautiful, I use her pictures in a lot of projects.

My collection of wool is ever growing so I'll be listing more in my shop soon.

I'm working on a quilt now, maybe I'll get it finished soon & show you.
I'm loving our cold weather, hot chocolate & fires every night!
I hope you all are having a wonderful cozy Wednesday.

Oh (sigh)...love the wool cottage, and the wool patchwork pillow is darling.

I think you should hang out a shingle and start building custom made wool houses.

Dear Lisa...the little winter house turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love the metal addition too...the different textures and of course the beautiful old photos are wonderful. I don't blame you one bit for collecting all that wool, with those great thrifts nearby and now seeing how the textures look so amazing together, no wonder!!! You really should teach a class in your home using the stuff...wouldn't a book be beautiful too??? The cold's heading our way, guess I'll have to stop wearing shorts around the house :) Thanks again for my sweet stack of wool, I love it!!! Hugs and love, Dawn

I gathered some wool at our last estate sale. We had some wool blankets that nobody bought, so you know who got them. One is red. I think I am going to try for a purse of some kind with it. I made a boho bag for a friend last year but this might be fun. I went to the hosp. today and got the stitches out of my wrist. So maybe I can start doing something now. Will have to keep up with the antibotics twice a day for another month. This has been such an ordeal. Love all your work. Hope to see you soon.
Hugs, Pat

Hi Lisa

May I say first that I am so glad you are back blogging.

I just love your little house and I bet you would get a great response to a class for making it. The zipper edge across the top is great. It is all great.

Hey Lisa,
It was great to hear from you....been a long time! I know what you mean about the price of the new paint products...crazy. I have made chalk paint with plaster, and it turned out pretty good.

I love your new creations with wool. I have been searching the thrifts for sweaters, but not finding anything good (wool and Florida don't mix well).

Take care,
Susie
