Inspiration Friday!

Hi friends,
did you think the kids tied me up & locked me in a closet?
No, just in a blogging funk.
But I'm feeling like my old self & want to dedicate this
Inspiration Friday post to my love of all things spooky!

Halloween is my second favorite holiday.

My favorite bird.....the Crow.

Favorite poet.....well you know.
I'm a ghoul, I admit it.

I buy up all the special issue mags on the newsstands.
And devour every ghostly book I can find.

But to me,
the Witchiest Woman of them all
(& I mean that in the best way)

Someday I want will go to her Halloween open house.

Until then I hang around waiting for the party pics.

And each year is more ghastly than the last!
Heads Hats off to you Debbie!
For more inspiration check out the other Debs blog!

I love Halloween second to Christmas. It is such a fun holiday to decorate for. I love the images you chose. The BOO under the apothecary jars is cute and the chair with the crow is very neat. Thanks for sharing.

I just love this!!! that first image is iconic for me. The blue table and chairs and the orange are a real attention grabber! Tell you what, you grab Anne and whoever else you can get, come stay with me. I'm about 3 hours from Curious Sofa! Thanks Lisa for joining in for VIF. Love all that great inspiration.

Lisa this is just great. Not only are you still alive, but your good taste is intact as well.LOL! I love Deb's Halloween decorating. It's just the best.
I can hardly wait to watch all my favorite scary movies and hand out the treats to the little ones as they come around. I love scary movies and my kids think I'm sick.LOL! They just don't get it. Where did I go wrong????
BTW, Poe is my fave poet. Has been since I was a child. Sometimes I do wonder about myself.
Ooohhh, I loved this post, my friend.
hugs to you...

Hi Lisa!
I'm so glad the kids finally let you out of the closet! I've been missing you and getting ready to put out an "APB" (A Pretty Bloggerette) is MISSING !!

Glad you are back. And wow do I love Debbie's decor. I'm crazy about the skelton brides in the vintage gowns! Love it all.

Is that burlap I see on the table with those pumpkins!!!!!

I will sleep better tonight just knowing your back in action.

Big ole hugs,
Sissie

Hey favorite little ghoul~
I was thinking more on the lines that Kevin tied you up in the closet instead of the kids...you know you wanted to tell the truth...
;)
I love Deb @ Curious Sofa. I've met her three times and she's as crazy in person as her wonderful decorations. She's brilliant and beautiful in every way, I do hope you get to meet her some day soon.

'Tis the season for Lisa to come out and play and be scary!!!

Hi Lisa,

I love the porch decorations and I like the umbrellas with witch legs. I did miss you but with 3 little cuties to take care of and teaching and on and on...I would expect "blog funk." Happy Inspiration Friday! Thanks for sharing.
Warmly, Linda

Jodie beat me to it...you SAY it was the kids who tied you up...yeah right!
Love all those photos. In fact I have some of the same ones in my style file...but no one and I do mean no one does the holiday displays like Ms. Curious Sofa. She puts the EEE in EEEK!

The umbrellas with the witchy legs....tooo funny!
Good to see you back in circulation. I never for a moment thought the triplets had you hogtied! ;-) But I thought you might be teaching or lost in your studio Under all that lace and paper!
Have a fun weekend!

Lisa!

Lovin' all the inspirational photos!

Boy do I feel better...I thought I was alone in the blogger burnout...but my time off this summer helped...still not posting everyday...I promised myself my blog is for enjoyment...for myself and hopefully for my friends.

Hang in there...for me the return to school is a melancholy mixture of emotionally plopping down in the chair AND a tear slipping down my cheek...it's that reminder of how fast kids grow up AND how quiet the house will be one day...

Oh so loved the witches legs & umbrellas. Do you have your clock with the owl in it out yet? I so need to get to the storage unit to get out my fall decor. But, it's just too hot to think about digging around in there. I am so loving my wall hanging I made in your class. Hope to post it for White Wednesday. HUGS!

Hola my bella boss lady :) I love this post, simply because I have always loved decorating for Halloween but since my girls have gotten older, most of my things stay in their bins till either right before or just stay there all together, maybe this year will be the year they all come out, Anaissa wants to make a gothic cemetery on our side yard, maybe we can get it together for her :) btw she is loving her new high school! I am so proud of both my girls right now, life is just now starting to calm down as they are finally settling down into a routine...FINALLY :) How are your gorgeous lil ones & your amor? I need to call you so we can catch up! I miss your most beautiful voice my bella boss lady & most of all your bella heart :) A funk happens, sometimes like me you ride it out....and while I am not posting as much, I have been lurking on so many of my favorite blogs, I am just guilty of doing it quietly, like I told Jodie....I KNOW everyone misses my long ass comments....{Yes, I know I have self importance or as Ashley says impotance :) issues that I severely need to deal with...just not today, Ha!} Well amor, I must leave you for a bit,but I will be back, because visiting you & all my bellas, is the nourishment my heart & soul needs at this moment:) LOVE, love & miss you my favorite bella boss lady! Besos, Rose

Ps...how was my word count on this visit, cause I promised Jodie I would match it on her comment I left when I visit her bella self :)
